HEY GENTS is looking for talented freelance writers to help us create high-quality content for our online articles and print magazine. We’re after people who have excellent writing skills and attention to detail. You’ll share (or be able to adopt) our tone of voice and write with thoroughness and accuracy. Article topics will primarily be dictated and assigned to writers by the Editor. Some articles will require you to write on behalf of HEY GENTS, while others will be credited with your name.

Creative Writer & Content Producer (Full-Time)
We’re looking for a talented content producer to help us create high-quality articles for our publication and social media. You’ll be part of a team that is passionate about building a world-class publication and you’re willing to work diligently with us to push it further.
HEY GENTS publishes beautiful and thoughtful content, both online and in print. We cover topics such as fashion, grooming, architecture, interiors, tech, cars and travel. Our unique aesthetic, tight curation and ethical awareness are what make us stand out from other publications. Over the past four years, we have become a reputable source of inspiration for men all around Australia and the world.
This is a full-time position, we’re looking for someone who has excellent writing skills, communication skills, can think creatively and is not afraid of a challenge. You’ll be writing about a wide range of topics with thoroughness and accuracy in mind, whilst adhering to our tone of voice.
Some of the tasks involved:
Writing articles (online & print)
Brainstorming and researching topics
Keeping track of article performance
Managing HEY GENTS’ editorial schedule and deadlines
Creating social media posts and managing accounts
Reporting for articles and social media
Taking photos (dependant on skillset)
Occasionally attending events and testing products
How does it all work?

Most days, you’ll be writing and creating content in our office. There will be opportunities to attend events and even travel interstate/overseas during work time. If you choose to take up these opportunities, you will have to produce content based on these experiences and still hit planned publishing deadlines set for the publication.
