Mixing minimalism with rich textures, designers Annabel Kutucu and Michael Schickinger in collaboration with K-Studio have created a modern-day Greek Agora; a meeting place for like-minded people. Scorpios is a beach club in Mykonos that occupies a wide stretch of coastline, providing spaces for tourists and locals to interact and relax.
With world-class views of the azure Aegean Sea, the beach club feels organic in every way. From its textured beige walls to the natural fibre furnishings, guests are encouraged to soak up the atmosphere from the moment they step inside. Placing importance on local Greek culture and craftsmanship, the spaces feel unified by their consistent colours and textures that are only emphasised by the bright blue ocean and tropical green vegetation.
Patrons have the privilege of two beaches – private and public, as well as a Mediterranean restaurant, artisanal store and live event space that’s featured the likes of Sneaky Sound System. At night, sunset rituals take place on Paraga Beach, a secluded haven filled with timber cabanas and daybeds on the edge of the shore. The Terrace is an elevated spot with panoramic views; ideal for a glass of wine with friends, while the whitewashed stone house provides comfortable indoor spaces to enjoy. There’s a place for everyone at Scorpio, whether it’s a summer beach party or some solo relaxation with a book.
