Local label blacknoise/whiterain have just launched their Spring 2017 collection, dubbed Future Relics. The brand offers premium yet casual pieces, with a distinctly modern look. Influenced by art, design, architecture, and underground music, Future Relics is a unique collection of menswear.
blacknoise/whiterain Future Relics Collection
Basic t-shirts in the Future Relics collection are given a unique edge, literally, with asymmetric silhouettes and draped fits. The collection as a whole feels quite raw, which is part of the appeal of it. Threads are left loose and uncut, while pieces like the Long Sleeve T-Shirt has unfinished edges. Everything has a worn-in feel, like you’ve had them for years. This feeling is aided by the fact that the t-shirts are made from a soft, cotton jersey fabric that’s comfortable from the first wear. Future Relics features logo and branded t-shirts, but for those who prefer something more minimal, there are also pieces that are left totally bare too. The antithesis of a traditional spring colour palette, the new collection favours blacks, dark greys, dark indigos, khaki, and worn whites.
In addition to the t-shirts, Future Relics also features a pair of basic black shorts. The 100% cotton shorts offer a knee length cut, with elasticated waistband and draw cords for maximum comfort. They’re a great pair to have in your wardrobe over spring and summer. The blacknoise/whiterain drop-crotch cotton pants are a good choice this season too. Tapered at the ankle, they offer a modern fit for casual wear. As far as styling goes, the t-shirts in the Future Relics collection work well with either the shorts or pants. Otherwise, try them with a simple pair of black jeans for a more elevated look.
The blacknoise/whiterain Future Relics collection is available now from General Pants Co. and the Ksubi store located at 130 Oxford Street, Paddington. It’s a good range to check out if you’re after something unique and modern for your wardrobe.
