Ecosa Mattress Review | Simplifying The World Of Mattresses
Sleep Tight With An Ecosa Mattress
When I was changing my bedsheets recently, I noticed that my mattress wasn’t in the greatest shape. So began my search for a replacement. It’s a confusing place out there, the world of mattress shopping. Do I go for springs? What about memory foam? Or just regular foam? Is soft or firm better for my back? Once you think you’ve answered all these questions but then take your budget into account, it’s easy to feel like you’re back to square one.
The mattress I was replacing was a queen size, but I decided I wanted something bigger. Reason being, I live with my girlfriend who’s recently voiced her concern about my rogue elbows heading her way in the night, so in an effort to remain in a relationship I thought it’d be best to upsize. During my research, I came across a brand called Ecosa. Their homepage featured a video of some stacked glasses of red wine on one side of a mattress, while a guy jumped on the other side. The wine remained unspilled. This was enough to pique my interest and to check out their mattress a little further.
Ecosa has done all the legwork of figuring out what kind of mattress is best. To create the perfect one, they took into account important factors like firmness, back support, durability, allergies and most important to me, comfort and partner disturbance. The result of their extensive research and development is a multi-layered combination of natural latex, gel memory and support foams.
A layer of premium natural latex sits at the top of the mattress, providing spinal support. It’s also naturally resistant to dust mites, plus it features pin-core holes for air circulation. A high-density gel infused visco elastic memory foam is found in the centre, designed to support the shoulder and hip areas. The memory foam, invented by the brand and known as Ecosa G-7 is also responsible for ensuring your body doesn’t sink into the bed. The base of the mattress is constructed from high-density foam. This gives the entire thing strength while also relieving pressure and providing comfort. The mattress is rounded out by a removable soft touch cover, which is breathable and machine washable for easy maintenance.
Ecosa offers seven different sizes of mattresses, including one called Super King, which is so wide it’s actually a square. This ended up being the winner for me. It was delivered the day after I ordered it and arrived in a large box. The brand also offers 4 hour delivery within Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane – handy to know should any mattress-related emergencies arise. Also handy is Ecosa’s 100-night trial, which grants you an extensive test period to determine whether you like the mattress. If you decide it’s not the right one for you, simply return it for a refund, and better yet, they’ll donate it to a charity where they can so it can still go on to help someone else get a great night’s sleep.
Arriving in a box made the mattress super easy to get into my apartment, and unboxing it was actually pretty fun. Essentially, you just cut off the plastic wrapping with a little tool they provide in the package, and you’re done!
In addition to looking so big and inviting, the mattress is a dream to sleep on. It’s a little firmer than my last mattress, but not in an uncomfortable way. I don’t think I’ve had as much uninterrupted sleep as I have in the last few weeks we’ve had this mattress. Nor has my girlfriend, who’s happy to report my flailing elbows aren’t a problem anymore. The mattress also has a good amount of bounce, making it a true all-rounder.
