Us Australians don’t like to say this much, but New Zealand is responsible for some pretty good things. Most recently, NZ has been the home for a brand called LMTLS, who’ve launched a campaign on Kickstarter for their minimalist watches with a unique point of difference. Created by two guys from Wellington, the LMTLS range features four styles which would make for ideal everyday pieces.
The collection is made up of variations of the classics; tan, brown and black leather straps with black or white faces. The really unique part of them though is the 100% natural wood bezel on each watch. They’re inspired by the jaw-dropping landscapes that can be seen throughout New Zealand, and they bring a bit of nature back into our lives which are becoming increasingly digital. The watches are all handcrafted and no two will be the same because of the natural variations in the wood, which makes each one pretty special.
The wooden bezels are lightweight and comfortable to wear, with the leather straps staying soft on the wrist. The watches have easy to read 35.5mm faces with three hand readers. The best part of LMTLS watches though is that they’ll only be priced at around USD$60, which is hardly anything for the kind of wear you’d be getting out of them. Their minimal look and 3ATM water resistance makes them perfect for casual daily wear. They’d also look really nice when worn with more smart casual or formal outfits, especially the Classic Black variation, with the wooden bezel creating a bit of dimension and difference.
