Etihad Airways Premium Melbourne Lounge

Premium Lounging With Etihad Airways At Melbourne Airport

Melbourne Airport has just had a pretty big upgrade and with that has come some pretty great new benefits for passengers flying in and out of there. The latest is Etihad Airways’ new Premium Lounge, which will be the perfect place to kick off your overseas trip with class. It’s the airline’s biggest lounge outside of its home of Abu Dhabi and can accommodate up to 133 guests in its spacious part of the airport.

Much of the food is prepared in-house and they even bake their own bread twice daily plus make their own ice-cream. The coffee beans are from Double Roasters, one of our favourites. You definitely wouldn’t be remiss for forgetting you’re at an airport.DSC03393bDSC03375bDSC03363bEtihad Airways Premium LoungePossibly the best part, and the place we’ll be flocking to before our next flight, is the new showcase bar which features an extensive list of cocktails, created by beverage consultancy Fluid Movement, inspired by some of Etihad Airways popular destinations. The Los Angeles has a curious mix of tequila, coffee, chilli, rice milk and fairy floss while the Sydney has a delectable mix of aged rum, black tea and bush flower essence. For a nice local touch the bar also features a range of Victorian wines. If booze isn’t really your thing then you’ll be happy to see the mocktail list is just as enticing. Our favourite is the Abu Dhabi which combines in-house made cold brew coffee with rose, cardamom and tonic.Etihad Airways Premium LoungeDSC03397bEtihad Airways Premium LoungeOther things to look forward to at the Premium Lounge include complimentary high-speed WiFi and USB power outlets aplenty – things which can often be pretty elusive in airports when you need them the most! The lounge is designed to be a relaxing and serene space – exactly what you need before you spend ages up in the air. There’s custom furnishings, a luggage room and shower facilities too. If you’re lucky enough to be a guest of The Residence you also get your own private lounge with a bespoke service.DSC03382bEtihad Airways Premium LoungeWith plans to have 14 lounges in airports around the world by the end of the year, you’ll want to make sure you’re flying Etihad when you can. Just be careful not to miss your flight if you’re having too nice a time in the lounge!
