The latest collaboration between Nike and HTM – aka Mark Parker (Nike CEO), Tinker Hatfield (original Air Max designer), and Hiroshi Fujiwara – has once again given a classic Nike style a modern update. This time it’s the iconic Air Max, and if you were disappointed to see that Fujiwara’s contribution to the collaboration is already sold out, don’t worry because on Air Max Day – Saturday, March 26 – they’ll be available from select retailers.
Fujiwara’s Nike Air Max LD-Zero H took him into the archives of past designs where he happened upon the Nike Boston. His idea was to combine the silhouette of it with newer technologies, so he paired the Boston upper with the platform of the Air Max 2014. The end result is a modern sneaker that will be sure to become a future classic in its own right. The combination of nylon, suede and the deep blue shade of it gives it a very premium look while the Nike Flywire technology makes it comfortable and supportive.
The Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Superfly T by Tinker Hatfield and the Nike Air Max Ultra M by Mark Parker are available online and will also be sold at selected retailers on Air Max Day.
Limited stock will be available from: Hype DC Market Street, Sydney; Sneaker Boy, Melbourne; Nike Chapel Street, Melbourne; Loaded, Auckland.
