THE UPSIDE have launched their new active menswear brand ‘MAN’, offering a balance of performance and recovery outerwear as a counterpart to the highly successful launch of WOMEN in early 2014. Founded by Australian fashion icon Jodhi Mears, THE UPSIDE draws on a truly Australian experience, with the aim to fill the void between active wear and in-the-office style. MAN has been inspired by urban city palettes and moody oceanic hues with the help of newly recruited designer Matty Bouris, resulting in an energetic and intelligently considered collection.
Featuring tones of blue, grey, khaki and monochrome prints, the new 2016 MAN collection offers a range of leg wear, tops, tracks, shorts, hoods and accessories. It is the distinctly subtle nuanced styling, features including drop crutch shorts, drop tail hemlines and neoprene paneling, combined with a commitment to both performance and lifestyle that gives THE UPSIDE MAN its distinct individuality.
As a part of the launch, Australian model and former NRL player Nick Youngquest was brought on board as the face of the new collection. Passionate about fitness and fashion, Youngquest is a clear fit for the brand’s performance driven athletic wear and distinctly Australian personality.
