Being able to fly has been on the top of the wish list of human beings for thousands of years. What I learned from a recent trip is Dubai will always be uncompromising when it comes to fulfilling your dreams. Not quite at the level of flying without planes, Seawings seaplanes offered up a scenic view of Dubai which was as close as I was going to get, and I was not disappointed.
The seaplane took off from Dubai Creek, which is not far from the city. After a brief introduction, I was guided to my own spacious seat that had a large, bright window – a tip for the adventurers, call shotgun to ensure you have the best view.
This 40 minute trip was definitely one of the best displays of Dubai’s beauty that I experienced. I mean, taking in the city from a moving plane that covers all areas is hard to compete with and will not be forgotten anytime soon.
Who needs a fancy car when you can fly around in Dubai, right? The architecture in Dubai is mesmerising from the ground, but having the opportunity to enjoy a birds eye view of the whole city will leave you with a new perspective of Dubai.
Dubai is such a young and dynamic city – it has its own culture and flavours mixed in between all the skyscrapers.
During the trip, you will be able to take in all the wonders of Dubai: Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building; The World Islands, an artificial archipelago of various small islands constructed in the rough shape of a world map; Burj Al Arab, the one and only 7 star hotel in the world; and of course, the Palm Jumeirah.
All in all, the Seawings experience is top notch. If I only had one day in Dubai, I probably would choose it as the major activity for the day. If views are what you’re after, Seawings should be your go to, and will deliver.
