Ford have released five short films that explore the idea of ‘small but mighty’ – a phrase that perfectly describes their range of EcoBoost engines. The car company has teamed up with five emerging filmmakers from around the world, who were selected to capture small things that pack a mighty punch.
Generating fewer emissions and using less fuel but still providing great power compared to larger-displacement naturally aspirated engines, Ford’s EcoBoost engines are a force to be reckoned with. Filmmakers were given the challenge of capturing the spirit of what this engine range is all about.Australian, Ellenor Argypoulos was one of the filmmakers to show her take on the idea. She has produced a short film set in the Australian outback, following the adventures of a classic family camping trip. In an effort to entertain themselves, a dare is proposed between brother and sister which ultimately shows one of them severely underestimating the power of a small chilli.
Since being released in 2009, Ford has sold over 5 million EcoBoost equipped vehicles globally and Ford will soon be launching more vehicles fitted with the fuel-efficient technology soon. It’s currently available in a range of different models including the Ford Fiesta, EcoSport, Kuga, Modeo, Falcon, Focus, Mustang & more. You can check out the rest of the series on Ford’s YouTube channel, including ‘Soccer Prodigy’ which captures an 8 year old boy with exceptional ball control, showing off his skills on the football pitch and running circles around his competitors.
