Shop, Eat, Drink, Repeat | Sofitel Los Angeles At Beverly Hills
Standing tall on Beverly Boulevard you’ll find Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. This luxurious LA hotel is uniquely positioned within walking distance to the cafes and bars of West 3rd St, boutiques of Melrose Avenue and directly opposite the shopping haven that is the Beverly Center.
As we drove up to the hotel you could instantly tell it was full of life. This was no minor affair, Sofitel Los Angeles boasts 295 rooms on 10 floors, ranging from double rooms to the Presidential Suite – all with a healthy dose of space and elegance. The lobby feels like you’re walking through a piece of art and has an undeniably modern vibe. Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is also home to a state-of-the-art fitness centre, outdoor heated pool, full service spa, lounge-bar and restaurant. With all of this on offer before even stepping foot outside the hotel, you’ll never find yourself looking around for things to do when staying here. After checking in we scooted into the lift and up to our floor where we found our immaculately presented room with extremely generous bathroom. It was huge, with a shower that could host a party, if you were so inclined. Everything anyone needs in a hotel room was there – a big comfy bed, a TV, an armchair and a desk looking out through the huge windows that our room offered. We spent a bit of time sampling the mini bar prior to heading down to Estérel, the hotel’s restaurant spanning both indoors and outdoors with a french style patio where we chose to be seated. To get to the restaurant you walk through Riviera 31, a sophisticated cocktail lounge with a Mediterranean style menu. After we’d finished our first drinks and charcuterie board at Estérel, it wasn’t long until we were presented with our mains. Whilst I was in LA I decided to sample as many burgers as possible, and managed to keep up my efforts at Estérel, which served up one of the best. The next morning we managed to squeeze in some time to hang out by the pool and develop those holiday tans we’d promised ourselves. The area around the pool is a great place to sit and recover from the cocktails downstairs the night before. The thing I liked most about Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills was its proximity to multiple places we were keen to check out. In LA, if you’re close to one thing then it’s likely that you’re miles away from that other place you wanted to go, but this isn’t the case here. It’s nicely situated right in the middle of a bunch of awesome shopping, eating and drinking spots and is a great home base in the Beverly Hills / West Hollywood area.
