If you’re human, the chaos of cable management for phones and music accessories is likely to have gotten the better of you at some point in time. Place headphones or USB cords in a bag and in moments the theory of chaos will ensure you’ve got a tangled mess that’s so frustrating you’d almost rather throw them away and start fresh.
Luckily the plucky ingenuity of Shane Thompson, Head Designer and Founder of Sydney based lifestyle start-up, Afternoons with Albert, has come up with not only a practical solution but one that exudes style and character.
Part time designer and full time commercial pilot for Qantas, Shane has had plenty of sleepless nights haunted by the tangled mess he finds in his travel bags every time he’s looking for his headphones. Following a tumble in front of recently disembarked passengers he’d just flown to LA, he embarked on a journey that culminated in the Cord Roll. Simple but well thought out in design, the Cord Roll is a cable management solution that also has places for all your easily lost and never to be found again items.
The rugged naturally tanned leather construction enhances the look and durability of the Cord Roll. With a simple system to keep cords, cables and accessories safe, organised and in one easy to find spot it’s suitable for all walks of life. The Cord Roll will fit into any jacket or pants pocket, suitcase, backpack or handbag – so whether you’re in the corporate sector or just about to hike up a mountain, you’ll know you can grab your music device and headphones with minimal fuss.
Currently on Kickstarter, offered in vegetable tanned leather in three colours of black, tan and french grey, the Cord Roll is a well designed and thoughtfully constructed piece of gear you’ll wish you’d always had.
