Eyewear & Eye Tests At The New OPSM World Square, Sydney
Recently, I decided it was time to have my eyes checked. Not because I can’t see stuff, but because it’s probably been over 15 years since my last eye test and I feel like your eyes are something you should probably take good care of. Having a conversation with a (glasses-wearing) mate not long ago, I found out that there’s more to getting your eyes checked than reading some tiny letters on the wall. Not all optometrists offer the same level of testing, so thinking if I was going to get my eyes checked then I may as well get them done properly, I scheduled an appointment at the new OPSM World Square store in Sydney. The store itself features a modern fit-out consisting of crisp white walls with wooden accents. The design of the store also reflects the premium brands they’re stocking. As I walked in I was looked after immediately which was refreshing, especially for a store in the middle of the city.Starting off with the (kind of fun) reading of tiny letters on the wall, the checks definitely got way more technical from there and the whole thing lasted about 20 minutes or so. What was good though is that none of them were uncomfortable at all. I actually discovered that a pair of glasses would be beneficial for me when I’m working at my computer – which is a fair bit of the time. After the test I checked out their selection of frames to choose a pair I liked. I opted for a fairly classic looking pair from Ray-Ban which feel really sturdy and suit my face shape. There were so many to choose from though – including Asian Fit frames which have a wider nose bridge, longer temples and reduced curvature to better suit the Asian face structure of round and teardrop face shapes.Less than a week later my new prescription glasses were ready to be picked up and I’ve been wearing them for work ever since – seeing stuff like an absolute boss.
