If you’ve always wanted to fly Business Class but can’t yet justify it, well Singapore Airlines has just answered your call. Starting from today (9th August 2015), you can take off in style from Sydney (on selected routes) at a much more attainable price. Hey Gents was invited to experience the new Singapore Airlines Premium Economy Class and we loved what we saw.The experience starts with jumping the big queue with priority check-in counters and a worry free 35kg weight allowance.
Rock star it to your seat with priority boarding, then sit back and relax in your extra roomy seat with a generous 8 inch recline. Don’t worry, reclining so far back doesn’t mean you’ll miss any action on the entertainment screen because it’s a whopping 13.3 inches wide.
After take off, you’ll start to experience what the business and first class passengers take for granted, an after take-off drink. Order the champagne so that you can toast yourself for making such an excellent seating choice.Instead of just chicken or beef, you’ll get a menu with 3 choices of main course. But here’s the kicker, if you jump online more than 24 hours before the flight, you’ll be able to “Book the Cook”. What’s that? You get to choose from an even wider range of main courses before you even board the plane! Choices include Seafood Thermidor, Roasted Chicken in Garlic Cream Sauce, Rosemary Beef Brisket, Roasted Chicken Rice, Pork Congee with Century Egg, Spiced Chicken Nasi Biryani, Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, and Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Scrambled Eggs.
Premium Economy is definitely not a bad way to start and end your next trip.
