Simple, Modern Cabin In Quebec by Naturehumaine

Amidst the moose filled woods of Canada lies the Bolton Residence, a home designed by Naturehumaine that we wish to call our own.

Perfect for either a weekend away or a year of hibernation, the wooden house sits on a slope in Quebec’s Eastern Townships. It blends perfectly with the environment using timber both internally and externally giving it an all round natural feel.

The roof has been raised to compensate for the slopes and gives the sensation that the house is floating amongst the trees. Views of Mount Orford and the valley below go well with a coffee in hand while long horizontal windows mean you can enjoy them from inside if it gets a bit nippy.

Dividing the living spaces from the master bedroom is the home’s main support. The rich black runs throughout the house and sits well with the wooden tone.
