Audi S3 Sportback Review

We were recently given the opportunity to take the Audi S3 Sportback for a drive through the mean streets of Sydney. Even though our time together only lasted a few days, the premium specs and classy interior made the thought of handing back the keys a little tough to come to grips with.

Audi S3 Sportback Review

Sporting an affordable price tag for a high performance Audi, the S3 boasts 206 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque. It’ll fly from 0-100km/h in 5 seconds flat and can be pushed up to 250km/h. Featuring Audi’s dual-clutch S tronic transmission and quattro AWD, we found the car handled well with awesome performance in and out of corners. The S3 also comes with the ability to switch driving modes and tailor the character of the car to personal taste and driving conditions.

Audi S3 Sportback Review

The Audi S3 Sportback excels when it comes to appearance, with pronounced styling that makes it stand out from the regular A3 including quad tailpipes and a sleek but muscular body. It’s smart and compact, yet has a spacious cabin with premium specs. As far as hot hatches go, the S3 is definitely a classier affair – it doesn’t scream out for attention like some others in its league.

The interior of the S3 mimics what you see on the outside, stylish minimalism – yet you have a plethora of controls at your fingertips. Audi have long set the pace when it comes to interiors and the S3 doesn’t fail to disappoint. The premium feel includes clean ergonomics and clear instrumentation. The multimedia system features a top class pop up screen with intuitive control.
