This week Sony announced a new smart phone aimed at the mid-range market, bringing its design, camera, battery and performance to an accessible price point.
The new Sony Xperia M4 Aqua looks and feels very close to the Sony Xperia Z3 in design but goes one step further in waterproofing. The Xperia M4 Aqua has a coated charging port, removing the need for that flappy port cap on the Xperia Z3.
For the M4 Aqua to be competitively priced, obviously the specs won’t be the same as the Xperia Z3 but it’s by no means a compromise on quality. It comes with a 13MP camera with F2.0 aperture giving you the ability to take bokeh-licious photos. Android Lollipop will be installed and the battery life should last up to 2 days.
We’ll have to get our hands on one to test it underwater. I wonder if we’ll be able to make phone calls whilst swimming?
