Last week Ferrari held an exclusive event for select customers and revealed the new Ferrari 488 GTB.
For the new model, the 0-100km/h sprint takes 3.0 seconds, with a 0-200km/h time of 8.3 seconds and top speed of around 350km/h.
Ferrari technicians used data recorded over the last decade through the XX programme to enhance the performance of the car. The program makes extreme track-only cars available to some very lucky test-drivers, and the knowledge gained has made a significant contribution to the refinement of the electronic and vehicle control systems.
The 3.9-litre V8, although half a litre shy of the unit in the 458 it replaces, features two turbochargers which make it quite a bit more powerful. The engine puts out 493 kW at 8000 rpm and 760 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm.
First deliveries will start in Europe from July. Check out all the specs at Ferrari.com.
